PID? STD?: My guess is that there was a typographical error: whoever wrote that diagnosis meant to type " pelvic infection OR hormone imbalance". However, I don't understand how hormone problems and pelvic infection can be confused. If you have low abdominal pain, I'm worried you have pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), which usually is an STD, often gonorrhea or chlamydia. Why ask here?? Ask your doctor!
