Polycystic ovary: obesity, increased dark hair on the face and belly, irregular or absent periods can all point in the direction of polycystic ovarian disorder (PCOD). There is an association with type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, infertility, and an increase in coronary artery disease with PCOD. There are labs that can help the diagnosis and meds that can be helpful in the treatment.
