A member asked:

What to do if i started taking levlen (ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel) ed to either make my period lighter or stop it completely. has it worked for anyone else?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Birth control pills will typically make periods lighter and less painful than when not on any medication. Some women who take the pill regularly do stop having periods, but there is not guarantee this will happen.
