Can masterbation cause adhd ?

24 doctors weighed in across 7 answers

Some handy facts...: Normal men, women, boys, and girls masturbate (it's universal). It isn't harmful, as the body goes through similar effects during regular sex with a partner (but too much of anything may become a problem). Masturbation does not cause adhd, stunt height, cause hair loss or gray hair, make you weak, create heart problems, lower testosterone, affect virginity, lower fertility, or damage eyes.

NO!: The simple answer is NO, nor will masturbation make you go blind or make your testicles hang down to your knees. That said, hyper-sexuality can be a symptom of ADHD.

No: Masturbation has no relationship to ADHD. Impulsiveness toward sex or sexual expression is relatable to ADHD's symptoms of poor impulse control. Not the other way around.

No: In attentiveness and hyperactivity can be symptoms of many conditions. Hard to hone in on what your main concern is but if you are masturbating excessively it may be considered a symptom of hyper sexuality sometimes seen in Bipolarism. Best to consult an MD who works with behavioral issues to help you with your concerns.
