NOT probable!: You would need to have an open sore on your neck that allowed fluid transfer. Your skin is a protector, otherwise everyone with herpes that shook our hands would spread it, etc. You will be fine from this encounter.

Would need a: Whole lot more information than " my neck is bothering me", but I do understand your concern. If indeed her lips "just bumped" on your neck it is highly unlikely, and unless a painful red rash with little blisters erupts within a week of it "bothering" you then don't lose any sleep over it.

Maybe: The transmission of herpes is not 100% with contact but increases with any breaks in skin or contact with mucosal membranes. One could potentially "auto-inoculate" or spread the herpes virus to different parts of their own body this way or to others as well. The risk of transmission is highest with an outbreak.

Nope, don't worry!: Herpes on the mouth/lips can be transmitted to other mucous membranes, like mouth/lips/genitals. But it doesn't get transmitted through intact skin. You don't have herpes on your neck, don't worry!
