Tested too early: Home pregnancy test should be done 4-5 days after a missed period. If missed period is not easy to figure out, as it may be in your case, you can do the test 15-20 days after episode of sex that could have led to pregnancy. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions in the kit carefully.
