A member asked:

What does 6mm mixed echogenicity area of testicle mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. James Lin answered

Follow-up...: Mixed echogenicity means there is various tissue texture consistency within this 6-mm area especially in comparison to its surrounding normal testicular tissue. For someone with the medical background as described, one has to think about if it's a small tumor. So, it's recommended to repeat palpating the testis and getting another ultrasound in 4-6 months as a close follow-up. Any doubt? Ask doc.
