Pregnant?: The chances of getting pregnant on the forth day of your menses would be extremely rare, approaching impossible.

A 19-year-old female asked:
Is it possible to get pregnant a day or two before your period?

Dr. SG Erman answered

Yes: You can only get pregnant when you are ovulating, which is normally in the middle of your cycle (usually day 14 of a 28 day cycle). However, some people ovulate at different times. Men's sperm can remain active for up to 2-3 days. With so many variations and irregularities, it is safe to assume that you could get pregnant anytime you have unprotected intercourse.

Was physical the the 5 th day then on 21st day of period and then again 4 days before period. Could I be pregnant.?

It could be: If you had sex without protection (condom), you need only one time to get pregnant. If your menstrual period is late, have a home pregnancy test or go to your physician.
Remember that safe sex practices prevent unplanned pregnancies and protect against stds.

A 41-year-old member asked:
Is my girlfriend pregnant if her period is 12 days late?
1 doctor answer • 2 doctors weighed in

Dr. Garrett Garner answered
Obstetrics and Gynecology 9 years experience
Probably not: Just because she is late doesn't mean she is pregnant. I would have her do a test and see. It is likely that she didn't ovulate and her body hasn't triggered a cycle yet.
