Low estrogen: The Depo-Provera shot lowers your estrogen level, causing vaginal dryness. The lower estrogen level also causes bone density loss, and sometimes abnormal bleeding because the uterine lining becomes thin. You could ask your doctor for an estrogen vaginal cream for the dryness.
