A member asked:

Can sex hormones interfere with bone growth during puberty?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Confusing question: Sex hormones signal the growth centers to accelerate and complete the linear growth. In a sense, the sex hormones are just a normal part of the growth process.Without them, a person would continue to grow at a slow but steady rate, but would not gain muscle mass and sexual maturity.
