A member asked:

I'm on the contraceptive pill levlen (ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel) and i keep bleeding on the normal pills (not sugar pills) why would this be happening? how can u stop it? thanks

Need to switch pills: If you don't have any other medical conditions that cause bleeding problems, then it's probably the effects of the hormones on your uterus. Each pill can affect people in different ways. One pill may cause a lot of side effects, and it sounds like this pill isn't working for you. If this is stil going on, after more than 2-3 months on the levlen, (ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel) then you should switch to a different pill.
