Have i definitely got herpes, or does any other virus cause lip sores?

Depends...: ...On what the sores look like. Sometimes you can get bacterial infections around the nose and mouth (impetigo). Sores on the inside of the lip can be canker sores (not herpes). Better to get checked out. Your doctor can do a swab of the sore and know for sure.
