No clear cause: Salpingitis isthmica nodosa can block the fallopian tubes close to the uterus, and may make pregnancy difficult. It is not caused by anything you did or didn't do. We don't know any exact cause, but it most certainly has to do with the way a women's reproductive system develops right from birth.
