Many types of repair: There are many types of repair with most running vertically up the midline. Liposuction may be performed in the sides and may be the cause of your pain or it may be referred pain. If this persists, i would contact your surgeon.

Absolutely Normal: This is absolutely normal. For tummy tucks, I use pain pumps to help ease the pain in the immediate post-op period after surgery. In conjunction with pain pills, this will reduce the pain level. However, you should always discuss pain symptoms with your surgeon in the follow up appointment.
