Light menses: At age 41, a woman can expect some irregularity in her cycles. Ovulation does not "always" then occur at what used to be "mid cycle", and may be delayed. The ovary takes a bit more stimulation to ovulate which means the drop in estrogen prior to ovulation may produce some "light" withdrawal bleeding. You might ask your gyn provider about low dose oral contraceptives at this point.
