no: Lorazepam is a sedative / hypnotic, and is potentially habituating if taken regularly for a long time period. Opiates typically refer to narcotics which are also potentially habituating. The benzodiazepine class (lorazepam) is also physically dangerous in abrupt withdrawal whereas narcotic withdrawal though very uncomfortable, is not physically dangerous.
