Allergy meds: Hello. Allergy medication like zyrtec and Allegra (fexofenadine) help with the symptoms of allergy. The dose for an adult is 180 mg for Allegra (fexofenadine) and 10 mg for zyrtec. If you take both on the same day, an increase in dryness as well as sedation will likely occur. There are other medications to help with your allergies. Instead of taking these two medications, see your doctor for other options.

No problem taking both as long as they work for you and you are not suffering from any of the side effects mentioned by Dr Gergits.

You shouldn't: All of those medications are in the same class called non-sedating antihistamines. They should not be taken at the same time.

Yes..as long as: You haven't had any issues taking Allegra (fexofenadine) in the past. I have not seen any interactive problems. But if any new symptoms develop after you start taking allegra, (fexofenadine) don't take any more and check with your dr.
