Shouldn't: Opioids, specially a large dose like the one you mention should not be used for the treatment of migraines specially since there are other non opioid medications that can be prescribed for this condition. Ask your doctor about other medications from the family of 'triptans' and a medication to take daily for prevention of migraines.
