A member asked:

Is it dangerous to combine melatonin and unisom?

7 doctors weighed in across 2 answers

No.: There are no known drug interactions at the recommended doses. Unisom is the brand name for diphenhydramine, an antihistamine. It also has anticholinergic and cough suppressant properties. Melatonin works on your pineal gland to help promote a regular sleep cycle. Be aware of potential overssedation when taking both at high doses.

Melatonin/Unisom: Not advised, due to excess sedation. Using one or the other at adjusted dose as prescribed, would be better option.
