A member asked:

Is it common for almost 3 year olds to get acidic diarrhea from apple juice?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Some do some do not: Some kids are fructose intolerant so the fruit sugar in apple juice is not absorbed and can result in acidic diarrhea. They would react similarly to other fructose containing fruit juices. Many do not. Some will after a diarrhea that temporarily reduces their ability to digest fructose.
