Caution!: A previous anaphylactic reaction to iodinated contrast material is a major red flag for future contrast administration. In those rare cases when contrast administration is felt to be essential the patient is put on pre-medication with steroids and be admitted to the hospital but most people would do everything possible to avoid giving any more contrast material.

No: The risk of a systemic reaction to IV contrast is significantly elevated in patients who have had previous reactions to contrast dye. For these patients, it needs to be very clear that a contrast study is needed and if needed the patient must be pre medicated with antihistamines and steroids.
