A member asked:

If i had an std would any bacteria show up in my urine culture?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not usually: Urinary tract infection is quite different than stds under most circumstances, but some forms of std may create swelling of the female urethral outlet with secondary uti. If you think you may have been exposed to std please go and get tested soon. Always better safe than sorry.
