Pelvic joint: Groin pain radiating to the buttock in a thirties male is characteristic for pelvic girdle joint disorder. The buttock aspect of the pain is called sciatica. Pain generated by a sacroiliac joint can refer to groin and cause sciatica. Vertebral spine disorders characteristically do not radiate to the groin.
