I had surgery on l1-s5 herniated disc, now reherniated it. is a fusion bad to get?

Fusion: There are a lot of things that going into determining if you need a fusion. Ideally, you would like to avoid a fusion if possible. Just having a disc hernia toon in and of itself doesn't mean you need a fusion.
