Midnight?: Hi. Was it a midnight salivary cortisol? Let me assume it was (I hate to assume, but no details!), since there's no other legitimate use for a salivary cortisol test). It midnight salivary cortisol is high, it means your body has lost diurnal regulation of cortisol secretion, a hallmark of Cushing's Syndrome. It's part of a comprehensive Cushing's work up.
