Very bad idea: It will make the inflammation fade briefly by causing your neutrophils to stop fighting the bacteria that cause it. It will promote the same hormonal processes that cause acne to flare at puberty. Acne is serious. If topical benzoyl peroxide hasn't cleared you in 2 weeks or you have acne on your trunk, get with a competent physician and get prescription-strength rx -- this will actually work.
