Depends: The vitreous gel structure is usually completely removed in total vitrectomy. It does not "regenerate". However, depending on the reasons for the 1st procedure. Repat surgeries are sometimes required to remove "peel" secondary scar tissue or inject various intraocular therapies. A challenging question ; best discussed with your surgeon as he knows your case.
