Yes.: Stomach flu by definition is triggered by a virus. Viral infections/flu are typically self-limited diseases, going away without specific treatment by "running its course". But complications of the viral illness such as dehydration, abdominal pain, high fever, etc. Can be problematic. Yes: Stomach flu always goes away on its own, usually in 1-3 days, though occ. lasts up to a week. The greatest danger is dehydration so drink lots of fluids but replace electrolytes.I advise vegetable broth- simmer greens, onions, potatoes, carrots for 20 min.,add salt and drink the broth.Chicken broth is good too.
