How does the stomach flu begin?

Usually Nausea: Stomach virus may start with vague symtoms, but vomiting and nausea are most prominent symptoms over first 24-48 hrs. These is usually followed by onset of diarrhea which is typically last symptom to resolve. Fever can be part of illness first 1-3 dys.
