Are hemorrhoids stress induced?

mechanical strain: When you strain while defecating, it increases pressure in the veins of your anus which can then cause them to balloon out. Sitting on the toilet too long, having anal sex, being obese, having chronic constipation or diarrhea, and having a low fiber diet or even being pregnant can cause hemorrhoids. So, indirectly, the answer is yes if stress causes you to have the runs or constipation.

Agree w Dr Jacobson: Stress can be related to constipation which can be related to hemorrhoids. To address stress: talk about feelings ; address problems. Don't avoid them. Aim for 7.5 - 8 hours of sleep/ night. Daily physical activity is optimal in a green space. Eat healthfully. Cut out junk carbs, caffeine ; alcohol (or moderate). Try qi gong, tai chi, acupuncture, acupressure, homeopathy, meditation or yoga.
