Metformin : Diabetes increases likelihood of alzheimer's disease, and the typical pathological brain changes include extracellular amyloid plaques and intracellular neurofibrillary tangles. In mice at least, metformin can actually attenuate some of these changes. Also vitamin B12 and calcium may reverse cognitive issues diabetics may have with metformin. http://tinyurl.com/leplty9 please talk w/your doc!
