Medium rhomoid area: It is impossible to diagnosis without a complete exam and history. It sounds as you are describing what we call 'median rhomboid glossitis'. This is in the middle area toward the back of the tongue. It is generally caused by yeast/candida, treatment is with antifungal agents and may take a long time. Restoring normal flora is important.
