Headache, face pain for 2 months. amoxicillin didn't work. augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) w/prednisone and i felt great. but then it came back 2 days later. ct normal ?

Need a Diagnosis: Steroids (prednisone) reduce inflammation and thereby alleviate the pain caused by inflammation, but it is not a cure. You need to have additional evaluation to determine the cause. You didn't mention what type of ct scan you had, but if it was of your face and sinus area, that means you do not have sinusitis or cellulitis. I would consider consulting with a neurologist to exclude a vasculitis.
