Epididymitis: This is the proposed mechanism of epididymitis. Usually a strain such as lifting or exercising (increasing intra-abdominal pressure) causes the reflux a very tiny amounts of bacteria laden urine down the vas. The treatment is the same as it is for prostatitis: antibiotics and anti-inflammatories.
