You have: Viral infection that affect the upper air way and the ear . There is connection from the upper airway to the ear ( eustachian tube ) which is functionally closed but can be opened with heavy sneezing or pressure . Through this tube , viruses and bacterial can have access to the ear . What ever happened to the nose may happened to the ear . You may need some decongestant of the nose and saline.
