Prevnar/HPV: These two seem to produce the most discomfort either initially or over the first day. The Prevnar (pneumococcal vaccine) can produce a knot in the muscle and seems to yield more episodes of low grade fever. The HPV is usually delayed until the pre-teen years but that population voices a real difference in the initial pain compared to other vaccines.
