A member asked:

I've always had heavy irregular periods some last up to 4 months. doctor doesn't seemed concerned. what should i do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Heavy periods: You doctor may want to check for anemia (a blood test). If you are not anemic, then the bleeding is not a problem in regards to losing too much blood. If you are anemia or simply are tired of long periods, you should discuss a birth control pill to limit or stop the periods if this is something you're willing to consider.
