May get follow-up: This is a way of estimating how much protein is being lost via the kidneys on a spot urine, without using a 24 hour check. This is a wee bit high. If you have diabetes, this might be a reason for a follow-up study; if there's nothing else to suggest kidney disease and you're not diabetic, your physician may simply note it for future reference.
