6-8 weeks, sort of..: Depending in the severity of the injury, the toe should be fairly functional in 6-8 weeks, but it will be close to a year before soft tissue remodeling is complete and the joint is "completely healed". Until then, it will likely be stiff after periods of inactivity and also an excellent barometer for impending rainy weather.
