does the hcg trigger shot make you release all follicles or only all of the mature follicles?

Varies: Any follicle that has been recruited to mature, usually only one per cycle, will likely be stimulated to ovulate in rsponse to the HCG "trigger shot". If there has been pretreatment with ovulation inducing drugs, then multiple follicle release is possible.
