You still have it,,,: You still have hpv once you got it. The purpose of the pap is to keep checking for changes that can become or are cervical cancer. You've had 2 normal pap smears. If they were consecutive, you could wait 3 years until you get your next pap, but looking at your history, you might be better off still doing it every year. It would be smart to talk to your doctor for the best course of action.
