Can a doctor find an issue with your stomach by listening to it with a stethoscope?

Auscultation: What the doctor is looking for a something called bowel sounds. Bowel sounds are increased in intestinal obstruction. Absent in something called paralytic ileus. Of course he cannot diagnose anything specific with it but this will give clues to the ongoing process.
