Can the pudendal nerve become entrapped or damaged during inguinal hernia repair?

Shouldn't : It is inconceivable this nerve could be damaged during either open or laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair, however in medicine you can "never say never". Variations in anatomy and techniques can result in rare issues. Hope this helps.

Not pudendal nerve: There are other nerve such as the ilioinguinal nerve, genitofemoral, iliohypgastric.....These can all refer pain into pelvis
