Can an inguinal hernia cause testicular entrapment?

Yes by complications: Inguinal hernia by itself will not, but a huge untreated incarcerated inguino- scrotal hernia may cause entrapment, also as a rare post operative complication.

But Dr. Rao is correct...this in incredibly rare. I've done over 1500 hernia repairs and haven't seen it even once.
