No: Sensitivity to gluten cannot be cured surgically. Celiac disease cannot be cured at this time. It is put in & kept in remission by following a lifelong strict gluten free diet. Non-celiac gluten sensitivity may be temporary & improve after a period of gluten restriction. Before going gluten free get blood test to screen for celiac disease because once gluten free the blood test is no longer valid.

No surgical cure: Gluten sensitivity or intolerance is more like an allergy. Many patients with inflammatory bowel disease have a component of gluten intolerance and benefit with less symptoms if they avoid gluten in diet. However this is not able to be cured by a surgical procedure.
