Not cancer: Typically chewing tobacco can lead to mouth/throat cancer, but that doesn't happen for years and when it does it happens very slowly, so this is not likely to be cancer. That said, you could still have a viral or bacterial infection if it is hurting or you are having a sore throat, but this is unlikely related to your chewing history.
