Depends: How much pain? Ovaries make cysts every month- they are supposed to, the cyst ruptures releasing an egg. They rarely cause pain and when they do its for a couple hours when the cyst ruptures or it sticks around because the cyst isn't going away. It never changes sides in a short time.
