Many treatment optio: Ns! aside from hormonal contraceptives, there are also choices like Lupron with aygestin, Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud with or without low-dose danazol, and many more! the problem is that some of the side effects with medical therapy aren't tolerable for some patients. If you are done having babies and approaching menopause, a hysterectomy and removing the ovaries would be the most definitive treatment.

Endometriosis: This picture shows removal of endometriosis. With robotic surgery, meticulous excision of this disease can greatly improve your symptoms. Pelvic pain therapy treats the pain of spastic muscles. Valium (diazepam) suppositories and Botox injections help the pain by relaxing the pelvic floor. You need health team that includes a gynecologist who specializes in this condition.
