A member asked:

Could cardiac pain ever cause the fingers on the left hand to swell up, stiffen, turn blotchy and cold? or does that indicate compressed nerves/blood vessels?

Possibly: More likely due to nerve or vascular changes in the arm, especially in one so young. Sometimes beta-blockers can produce similar symptoms.

At your age I doubt : You have coronary artery disease. Why an 2d echo and holter test? Symptoms not specific for a heart problem. If is only at your left hand i will r/o carpal tunnel syndrome. A good history and physical also for the possibility of arterial and venous insufficiency.

Not really: You may have an inflammatory condition of the blood vessels which is causing your symptoms. See your physician for review and examination. Blood work will indicate if you need to see a rheumatologist.
