Hello, : Hello, if using a standard home pregnancy test, usually the woman can test as early as the first day she misses a period. Sometimes the results can show as negative even if the woman is pregnant because the HCG levels are too low to trigger the test. If in doubt, can wait a week after the first test to retest (can do it earlier as well). The early home pregnancy tests provide +/- sooner. Normally a woman won't develop classic pregnancy symptoms until she has missed her period (nausea, vomiting, headache, fatigue, increased urination, enlarging waist line, insomia, moodiness, breast tenderess and swelling, etc.).

Too early to test: Home pregnancy test should be done 4-5 days after a missed period. Negative result from a test done sooner doesn't exclude pregnancy. Take prenatal vitamins. Wish you good health.
